EPDM is a synthetic rubber with unique product properties. The abbreviation stands for Ethylene, Propylene, Diene and Monomer. EPDM is permanently elatic (up to 400%), resistant to ozone and UV rays and resistant to large temperature differences. These product properties have resulted in EPDM being used in many different sectors such as construction and automotive.
EPDM has several applications in the construction sector. The product properties make EPDM pre-eminently suitable for use as a roof sealing. Thanks to its product properties, EPDM roofing has a useful life span of more than 50 years.
EPDM is also used in construction as an "all-rounder" for cladding (roof) gutters and sealing unwanted seams and cracks.
