Spraybond is an aerosol contact adhesive available in a handy spray can. This contact adhesive is applied on both the surface and the underside of STRUCTASEAL® EPDM. Once touch dry the EPDM can be applied to the substrate.
The STRUCTASEAL® SPRAYBOND is used in the edge zone and for the complete upstand and edge connection of the flat roof as well as fixing the EPDM in gutter constructions.
SPRAYBOND has been specially developed for the adhesion of STRUCTASEAL® EPDM on vertical and horizontal surfaces of e.g. timber, concrete, tissue faced insulation boards, etc. The surface must be flat, clean, dry and grease-free. The installation temperature should be > +5 °C.
Before use, shake the aerosol can for at least 30 seconds, after which the adhesive can be applied on both substrates. Leave the adhesive for between 5 - 20 minutes for the solvents to evaporate (depending on temperature and weather conditions) until it is touch dry. Carefully apply the STRUCTASEAL® EPDM to the surface without creases and air bubbles then compress with a silicone roller. The SPRAYBOND is not suitable for making seam connections or bonding accessories (rainwater drains and prefabricated corners).
