CONTACT BONDING ADHESIVE
CONTACT BONDING ADHESIVE is a ready-to-use contact adhesive for overlapping STRUCTASEAL® EPDM and for flat roofs where EPDM rubber is adhered to a flat, dry surface (timber, concrete and metals such as aluminium, steel and zinc).
CONTACT BONDING ADHESIVE can be applied with either a stiff brush or a fine fleece roller. The adhesive is applied on both the surface and the underside of the STRUCTASEAL® EPDM. Once touch dry the EPDM can be applied to the substrate.

The STRUCTASEAL® CONTACT BONDING ADHESIVE can be used for various applications. For example, the adhesive on the flat roof is used in the perimeter zone and for the complete up-stand and edge connections and when bonding accessories (rainwater drains and prefabricated corners). In gutter constructions, the contact adhesive is should used to attach STRUCTASEAL® EPDM. With all these mentioned applications, you can also use the Spraybond variant of the contact adhesive.
In practice, CONTACT BONDING ADHESIVE is mainly used where the sprayable variant is not suitable for example the seam connection. This applies both to the connection of STRUCTASEAL® EPDM to STRUCTASEAL® EPDM and to the connection of STRUCTASEAL® RAINWATER OUTLETS and EXTERNAL CORNERS on EPDM. The last 20 mm. of a seam connection must always be sealed with the STRUCTASEAL® MS POLYMER.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
CONTACT BONDING ADHESIVE gives a strong adhesion, both between the STRUCTASEAL® EPDM and when adhering the EPDM membrane on a suitable surface. The adhesive connection is elastic and waterproof.
The contact adhesive is specially developed for the adhesion of STRUCTASEAL® EPDM on vertical and horizontal surfaces of e.g. timber, concrete, tissue faced insulation boards, etc. The surface must be flat, clean, dry and grease-free. The minimum installation temperature is +5 °C. In combination with MS Polymer it is also suitable for seam connections of STRUCTASEAL® EPDM
STRUCTASEAL® EPDM.

Consumption depends on substrate approx. 500 gr/m2 (applied on both sides).
• STORAGE
Store the unopened cans in dry and cool conditions (>+5 °C) in a well ventilated area.
Keep away from possible sources of ignition.
No smoking near the cans.
